I got the sauteed black pepper shrimp. We went here for my father's birthday. I forgot what he got my my dish was forgettable. It looked great but flavors were off. I think it was just my dish and would recommend others to try, just something different.

Great dinner. Beautiful restaurant, used to be a flower shop. Stained glass was very pretty. Had the Duck liver pate, Emu, Clam Chowder and Bread pudding with Butter pecan ice cream. Would order everything but the clam chowder again. It was too bland and thick for my taste, too much flour maybe?. Had a great cocktail. Nice place for a first date.

Amazing Service: My Wife ordered the Wagyu special, it was overcooked.... The waiter quickly ordered a replacement that was re-cooked to perfection without any attitude or pushback! Other dinner menu items we ordered were the Duck and Emu! Both cooked to perfection! Clam Chowder is amazing. In summary fairly pricey restaurant but you get what you pay for! Highly Recommend!!!! Also keep in mind parking is validated!

Cozy Uptown French-American restaurant with outstanding value, high quality and attentive, friendly service. Wagu Filet was phenomenal for the price, salmon and dessert were also high quality. This restaurant is not cheap but for the price might be uptown Charlotte's best fine restaurant.

Bernardin’s at Ratcliffe delivered an exceptional dining experience with a perfect balance of flavor, ambiance, and service. From the moment we arrived, the warm yet sophisticated atmosphere set the tone for an excellent meal. The clam chowder was a standout—rich, creamy, and packed with flavor, easily one of the best we’ve had. The beet salad was beautifully plated and well-balanced, with earthy sweetness complemented by fresh, crisp ingredients. For drinks, the Negroni was expertly crafted—smooth, bitter, and refreshing, just as it should be. For the main course, the chicken dish was outstanding—perfectly cooked, juicy, and thoughtfully paired with sides that enhanced every bite. Service was attentive but never intrusive, making for a relaxed and enjoyable experience. Bernardin’s is definitely a must-visit for anyone looking for top-notch food and drinks in a refined yet inviting setting. We’ll be back!

The food here is excellent! Highly recommend the crab cakes for an appetizer and the bread pudding for dessert. The lobster ravioli was also fantastic.

Very nice! We really enjoyed the food, and service was wonderful. Pretty interesting eating Emu. Cooked medium and it was pretty tasty! Not gamey at all. My filet mignon was cooked perfectly and those garlic mashed potatoes were so good. The Brussels were absolutely awesome too!!! We will definitely be back.

Visited for my dad's 80th birthday with a cousin. Ambiance was gorgeous! Prices a little high as expected, but for the actual portions, very reasonable. Our waitress was very kind and attentive to us and all of the tables within her sphere, service is a major pet peeve of mine! Got the shrimp and grits meal and it was excellent, just the right amount with a salad and dessert. They also have a great selection of cocktails and wines! Will definitely be back for another occasion!
